About TxABS

The Texas Association of Behavior Specialists is committed to:
  • Create district-to-district collaboration and partnership across systems-level behavior personnel
  • Bring university and practitioner staff together to increase access and understanding of evidence-based practices to those working directly with students
  • Regularly provide current and relevant information about current issues in behavior supports
  • Provides professional development, an annual conference and members exclusive events.
  • Supports on-going interaction between meetings to allow participants to access resources, ask questions and post information.
  • Sponsors an annual grant awarded to a recipient to further the implementation of quality behavior practices in the education field.

TxABS membership represent over 20 different organizations in education.  The annual TxABS conference draws over 200 attendees from across the state of Texas.  Conference speakers include nationally recognized speakers from Texas Universities, policy advocates and experts in the field of behavior.
